Celebrating its 20th year in the industry, Yurtbay Ceramics has been awarded the TSE Double Star Certificate as the indicator of its high-quality product philosophy, which it has upheld since its first day in production. The certificate, which recognizes the quality of Yurtbay Seramik products, was presented to the company at a ceremony at the production plant in Eskişehir.TSE General Secretery Mehmet Bozdemir presented the TSE Double Star Certificate to İlter Yurtbay, Deputy Chairman of Yurtbay Seramik Board of Directors.
Yurtbay Ceramics has been awarded the TSE Double Star Certificate in wall, ground, and sealed porcelain product groups by the Turkish Institute of Standards. The "TSE Double Star" program was started with the aim of increasing the quality of industry products in Turkey.Yurtbay Ceramics' application as part of the TS EN 14411 standard was approved upon the determination that the company met the additional standards required for a "Double Star.
In his speech at the ceremony, İlter Yurtbay, Deputy Chairman of Yurtbay Seramik Board of Directors pointed out that the TSE Double Star Certificate was presented to products that already held a TSE certificate and was above standard quality.Yurtbay remarked that they were proud to have started production 20 years ago with a principle to prioritize quality, and to exceed quality standards, and said they never compromised quality in their work and their efforts would increase in this area in the future.He highlighted that instead of just meeting relevant standards in quality, they adopted an approach to quality that was permanently effective, advancement, and sustainable across all their production processes.Stating that the TSE Double Star Certificate was an award that crowned this approach, he thanked all the company's employees that had a share in the pride.
Yurtbay Seramik General Director M. Nusret Okumuş said the company was awarded this certificate because their products exceeded the present general standards, and added:"With this certification, which offers the ability to evaluate high quality products that exceed current standards in critically important features determined by TSE by product group, Yurtbay Seramik's superiority, known to our customers for a long time, has been approved by an independent body.TSE's Double Star Certification constitutes an important step for Turkish industry at a time when efforts are being made in Europe to launch a similar program.The Double Star Certification will guide the competition in the industry within the right limits, and "it will become more convenient to lead consumers to the right brand for a choice of high quality products, and the image of Turkish products will improve in the global market."
Speaking on behalf of TSE, General Secretary Mehmet Bozdemir said that Turkey was an important player in the global ceramics market, with Turkish products receiving increasingly more demand in numerous countries. Bozdemir remarked that TSE continued its standardization and certification operations with haste, awarding Single and Double Star certificates to companies that produced products of above-standard quality, and added, "With this certification, companies are able to perform above the minimum conditions stipulated by the relevant standard, and increase the quality of its products."
Following the remarks, TSE General Secretary Mehmet Bozdemir and TSE Eskişehir Region Manager İsmail Kaynarca presented the "TSE Double Star Certificate" and flag to İlter Yurtbay, Deputy Chairman of Yurtbay Seramik Board of Directors.
