P.E.I (1) Tiles suitable only for locations where softer footwear is worn or where shoes are not frequently used, for e.g., residential bathroom or other areas with light traffic. Also for interior commercial and residential walls.

P.E.I (2) Tiles suitable for general residential traffic. For areas that are walked on by soft soled or “normal” footwear with very small amounts of scratching dirt. Not for kitchen, entrance halls, stairs and other areas subjected to heavy traffic.

P.E.I (3) Tiles suited for all residential and commercial areas such as offices, reception areas, boutiques, interior walls, countertops and residential bathroom floors.

P.E.I (4) Tiles suited for all regular traffic. Recommended for medium commercial and light institutional use, such as restaurants, hotels, hospital lobbies and corridors.

P.E.I (5) Tiles suitable for areas with heavy traffic, abrasive dirt and moisture, and where safety and maximum performance are required. Examples are shopping malls, public buildings, building entrances, or swimming pools.

Anti-slip value is expressed with 'R'.

R09 : These tiles are fine for most domestic internal applications, when used in a bathroom a bath mat (or towel) is essential to step on to from the bath or shower.

R10 : Domestic bathrooms, where the use of a bathmat is essential, they may be considered for other domestic areas such as kitchens, living areas, hallways, etc.

R11+R12: safe for installations including wet rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, porches, halls, cloakrooms, and living rooms. They may also be used for public areas such as cloakrooms, lavatories, communal showers,swimming pool surrounds, and larger areas such as shopping centres, airport concourses, hotel foyers, public walkways, etc.

R13 : These anti slip tiles will typically be used or pool surrounds or public showers/changing rooms.

UNIFORM APPEARANCE
V1 - Differences among pieces from the same production run are minimal.

SLIGHT VARIATION
V2 - Clearly distinguishable differences in texture and/or pattern within similar colors.

MODERATE VARIATION
V3 - While the colors present on a single piece of tile will be indicative of the colors to be expected on the other tiles, the number of colors on each piece may vary significantly.
For example "that little bit of color" on one piece of tile may be the primary color on the next piece.

SUBSTANTIAL VARIATION
V4 - Random color differences from tile to tile, so that one tile may have totally different colors from that of other tiles. Thus the final installation will be unique.
